CBI files fresh FIR against Anil Ambani in ₹3,750-crore LIC fraud case

The CBI has registered a fresh FIR against Anil Ambani and Reliance Communications for allegedly causing a loss of ₹3,750 crore to LIC. The insurer was allegedly misled into investing ₹4,500 crore in NCDs based on false claims by the company about its financial health. The agency recently questioned Ambani in a ₹2,929-crore bank fraud case.
