CBI-led SIT to probe claims of evidence destroyed in RG Kar case

Calcutta High Court formed a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by CBI in the RG Kar rape and murder case to investigate allegations of destruction of evidence made by the victim's family. The court directed CBI to re-examine the sequence of events in the case. A report on the investigation must be submitted to the court by June 25.
