CBI officer, who probed RG Kar doctor's rape-murder case, to get service medal on R-Day

V Chandrasekhar, a 2000-batch IPS officer and CBI Joint Director who supervised the probe into the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College, will be awarded the President's Medal for Distinguished Service on Republic Day. He led the investigation that secured the main accused's conviction. He is among 31 CBI officers honoured with medals.
