The CBI has replaced the investigating officer in the RG Kar rape and murder case as part of the fresh probe ordered by the Calcutta High Court. Sandipani Garg has taken charge after allegations of lapses against the previous officer. The agency has also submitted a status report and is reviewing over 1,000 pages of records.
