CBSE introduces 'Applied Mathematics' for Commerce, Arts students

Central Board of Secondary Education has introduced elective 'Applied Mathematics' for students of Class 11 and 12 Commerce and Arts streams from this year. CBSE said the board took the decision keeping in mind that the current Mathematics curriculum is more suited for students pursuing Science stream and doesn't relate with Commerce and Social Science or Arts/ Humanities based subjects.
