CEC, ECs to take 30% salary cut for one year to fund fight against COVID-19

The Election Commission on Monday said that Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora and Election Commissioners Ashok Lavasa and Sushil Chandra had volunteered to take a 30% reduction in their basic salaries for one year in order to contribute to the efforts against COVID-19. Earlier, PM, President, Vice President and Governors had decided to take 30% salary cut for a year.
