Central GST official held while taking bribe of ₹5,000 in Gujarat

A Superintendent of Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) was caught red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹5,000 in Surat, the Gujarat Anti-Corruption Bureau said on Friday. The accused, identified as SS Agrawal, was arrested on Thursday evening while accepting the bribe during a trap laid by the ACB at the CGST office, ACB said in a press release.
