Centre allows sale of excess Virginia tobacco in Andhra Pradesh

The Centre has permitted sale of excess Flue-Cured Virginia tobacco by registered and unregistered growers in Andhra Pradesh for 2025-26 crop season at Tobacco Board-authorised auction platforms. The move follows a July visit by a Department of Commerce team to review market conditions. The notification was issued on September 24.
