Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday announced that the Centre has approved the change in the name of the Gurgaon city and the Gurgaon district to 'Gurugram'. The BJP government in Haryana had announced the name change in April this year. According to a corporation committee member, Gurgaon is said to be the ancestral village of Guru Dronacharya.
