Centre buckled under US pressure at IMF on Pak loan: Congress

Congress stated that the PM Narendra Modi-led government buckled under US pressure over the IMF's $1 billion aid to Pakistan. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that India could have voted no on May 9 at the IMF Executive Board meeting, but only abstained. Ramesh's remarks came after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh urged the IMF to reconsider financial support to Pakistan.
