Centre considering ₹3.25 lakh cr deal for 114 Rafale jets: Reports

Defence Ministry might consider a proposal to buy 114 French-origin Rafale fighter jets for ₹3.25 lakh crore, according to reports. Under the model, France will supply up to 18 jets in fly-away condition, while the remaining 96 will be made in India with a minimum 30% indigenous content. IAF currently operates 36 Rafale jets, which were bought for ₹59,000 crore.
