Centre consulting stakeholders on FCRA Bill, brokers not allowed: Union Minister

Union Minister Suresh Gopi said the central government is consulting stakeholders on the FCRA Bill. He stated that no brokers will be allowed to get involved in the process. Opposition parties, church groups and civil society organisations have opposed the bill, calling some provisions discriminatory. Home Minister Amit Shah has called the bill "religion-neutral".
