Centre forms panel to probe 1st year student's death at IIIT-Ranchi amid protests

Ministry of Education has constituted a three-member committee to examine the circumstances surrounding the death of a first-year student at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Ranchi, who died by suicide. The committee, chaired by Professor Rajni Abbi, director of University of Delhi’s South Campus, has been given 15 days to submit its report. This comes amid protests at campus.
