Centre forms special task force to monitor monkeypox cases

The Centre has formed a special task force to monitor monkeypox cases, officials said. The task force, which will be headed by NITI Aayog member (health) VK Paul, will also coordinate cases from states and provide any expertise that the states need. A 22-year-old man who had tested positive for monkeypox in the UAE died in Kerala's Thrissur on Saturday.
