Centre orders probe into eMudhra’s weak security keys

The Centre has ordered a probe after Bengaluru-based eMudhra generated dangerously weak keys for eight security certificates, with one being the number 4. The flawed keys could have allowed attackers to create fake certificates for any website, including banks and government portals. "MeitY has taken note of the incident. A special team has been constituted to investigate," said the government.
