Centre sends Solicitor General Mehta to oppose anticipatory bail for Twisha's mother-in-law

The Centre has sent Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to appear for the Madhya Pradesh government to argue for the cancellation of anticipatory bail granted to Twisha Sharma's mother-in-law, Giribala Singh. The state has argued that a lower court granted her bail in a "mechanical manner" on the very same day the FIR was registered, without properly considering gravity of allegations.
