In the wake of an al-Qaida video, in which the terror outfit threatened to carry out campaign in India, a nationwide alert was announced Thursday, by the Centre. Home ministry officials said, an alert has been issued to all states and security agencies to take possible precautionary steps. An assessment is being done about the presence of al-Qaida in India.
