Centre supports menstrual hygiene schemes for school girls

The Centre told the Rajya Sabha that states and UTs are being supported to implement menstrual hygiene programmes for adolescent girls. The scheme promotes awareness, affordable sanitary napkins, safe disposal and counselling on menstrual health. Under NHM, states receive support based on proposals, while regular reviews and assessments monitor implementation and progress.
