Centre to disable ration entitlements of 15.8 mn inactive users

The Centre is set to disable ration entitlements of 15.8 million beneficiaries from October if they have not used their ration cards for six months, Hindustan Times reported. The beneficiaries will get three months to complete e-KYC and establish eligibility before any final decision. The move is part of a technology-driven clean-up of ration records.
