Centre to hike DA for govt employees by 3-4% before Diwali: Report

The Centre is expected to increase Dearness Allowance (DA) for central government employees by 3% to 4% ahead of Diwali, reports said. Currently, central government employees receive DA worth 50% of their basic pay. The Centre had hiked DA by 4% for the last time in March 2024. DA is usually hiked twice a year, in March and in October.
