Centre to introduce rules to curb obscenity in online content: Report

The Centre is planning to introduce draft rules to curb obscenity in online content, the Indian Express reported. The rules would stop digital content from denigrating women and inciting people to commit crime or cause disorder. The rules dictate that online content shouldn't contain "anything obscene, false and suggestive innuendos and half-truths" and proposes classifying content by age.
