Centre waives depreciated cost for Assam Rifles infrastructure

Centre has waived ₹5.23 crore that Mizoram government was required to pay as depreciated cost for buildings and infrastructure vacated by Assam Rifles in Aizawl. CM Lalduhoma had written to MoS for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai in May 2025, seeking waiver. Depreciated cost refers to reduced value of buildings and infrastructure after accounting for wear and tear over time.
