CEOs at 500 largest US firms paid 312 times more than their staff

The average CEO-to-worker pay ratio for S&P 500 companies reached 312:1 last year, according to an AFL-CIO study. When Elon Musk’s Tesla compensation is included, the average pay ratio between CEOs and workers reached 5,387:1. Including Musk’s Tesla stock plan, the average S&P 500 CEO compensation reached $340.1 million.
