CERN announces new experiment to search for dark matter

European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) has announced a new experiment to search for dark matter, which makes up about 27% of the universe. Light and weakly interacting particles will be looked for at the currently largest particle accelerator, 27-km-long Large Hadron Collider, CERN said. The Forward Search Experiment (FASER) will complement CERN's ongoing physics programme, it added.
