Certification must for bank staff selling retail: RBI

The Reserve Bank of India on Thursday said, bank employees involved in marketing third party retail goods and wealth management services must undergo an appropriate certification process. This is to check mis-selling while minimising customer complaints. Further, other financial regulators' certifications must be complied with for capacity building in banks and financial institutions, RBI added.
