Chair umpire for Wimbledon final fired for giving interviews
Damian Steiner, the chair umpire who officiated the 2019 Wimbledon final between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, has been fired for giving "more than a dozen" interviews without ATP's (men's tennis governing body) authorisation. The interview contents of the gold-badge umpire also violated the standard protocol, said ATP. French umpire, Renaud Lichtenstein replaced Steiner in 2019 US Open.
