'Chak De! India' inspiration Negi accused of corruption

Mir Ranjan Negi, the former hockey player who inspired Shah Rukh Khan's character in Chak De! India, has been accused of corruption. Negi, who was working as the assistant commissioner of customs in Mumbai, was recently transferred after the charges. Reportedly, the central intelligence unit of customs discovered a customs evasion of ₹26 crore in smuggling of mobiles under Negi.
