Chandan Talkies theatre which opened in 1973 demolished in Juhu

The demolition of single screen theatre, Chandan Talkies which opened in 1973, marks the end of an era in Mumbai’s Juhu area. Sameer Joshi, the theatre’s owner, pointed to several factors that led to its downfall. He added that despite upgrading to 4K projection and installing state-of-the-art sound systems, they struggled to attract even 100 viewers per show.
