Chandigarh designates schools as parking lots for 21 markets

Chandigarh UT traffic police have designated government schools and colleges as additional parking spaces for 21 markets from October 28, amid festive shopping rush. Over 3,500 challans have been issued for wrong parking this year. Ten towing vans with wheel clamps will be deployed. Shoppers may need to walk 10–15 minutes from lots to markets.
