Chandigarh hosts workshop on human-monkey conflict

The Department of Forests and Wildlife, Chandigarh, organised a workshop at Botanical Garden, Sarangpur, to address rising human-monkey conflict. Experts, government officials and NGOs explored science-based solutions including sterilisation, waste management and habitat improvement. Key hotspots flagged include Sectors 22, 27, PGIMER and Panjab University. Participants stressed eliminating root causes over reactive measures alone.
