Chandigarh police use tear gas, water cannons as protesters march for release of Sikh prisoners

The Chandigarh Police used water cannons and tear gas at Chandigarh-Mohali border to stop hundreds of protesters led by Qaumi Insaaf Morcha. The protesters were marching towards Punjab Lok Bhawan to press for release of Sikh prisoners who've been in jail for prolonged periods and to seek 10-day parole for Jagtar Hawara, convicted in assassination of ex-Punjab CM Beant Singh.
