Chandigarh schools, colleges shut till Mar 31; Holi public gatherings banned

Schools and colleges in Chandigarh will be closed with immediate effect till March 31 amid rising COVID-19 cases in the Union Territory. However, all teaching and non-teaching staff shall continue to attend the schools, an official notification said. The administration banned public gatherings for Holi and restricted the capacity of restaurants, hotels and food joints in malls at 50%.
