Chandigarh to monitor noise pollution, air quality on Diwali night

The Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee (CPCC) will monitor noise and air pollution levels on Diwali night, November 8, from 6 pm to midnight. Police have been asked to record hourly noise readings across all stations. Air quality will be tracked via 8 stations, including monitoring of heavy metals released by firecrackers.
