Chandrasekaran reveals why he decided to abruptly quit as Tata Sons chief
Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran has revealed why he decided to abruptly quit his position. Noting that his current tenure ends in February 2027, Chandrasekaran said his tenure extension had been approved by the Sir Dorabji Tata and Sir Ratan Tata trusts. He decided to quit after a Tata Sons board member "didn't support" his tenure extension by five years.
