Chandrayaan-3's landing site on Moon officially named 'Shiv Shakti' point

The spot where Chandrayaan-3's Vikram lander touched down on the Moon has been officially named 'Shiv Shakti' point after getting approval from the International Astronomical Union (IAU). PM Narendra Modi had in August declared that the landing site would be named 'Shiv Shakti'. The Gazetteer of Planetary Nomenclature described the name as a compound word from Indian mythology.
