Sri Lankan cricketer Charith Asalanka has achieved a significant career landmark by completing 2,500 runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs). He reached this milestone during the third and final ODI against Bangladesh at the Pallekele International Stadium. It was his 14th run in the match that marked the achievement, and remarkably, he got there in just 68 innings.
