ChatGPT caused 56-year-old man to kill his mother, claims lawsuit

OpenAI has been sued in US over ChatGPT's alleged role in a murder-suicide case. Filed by the estate of Suzanne Adams, a woman killed by her 56-year-old son Stein-Erik Soelberg, the lawsuit alleges ChatGPT supported Soelberg's delusions that his mother was spying on him. "What OpenAI is doing...to...make the AI remember a conversation can...turn ugly fast," says Soelberg's son.
