ChatGPT's share of the AI prompt market fell from 70% to 50% in six months, NewsBytes reported citing Comscore report. However, overall AI usage is rising as users mix tools. Google's Gemini surged from 8 million to 89 million desktop chats, Claude grew to 40 million. ChatGPT still leads with 168 million conversations in June 2026.
