CHB defers proposal on scrapping housing scheme in Sector 53

The Chandigarh Housing Board deferred a proposal to scrap its long-pending general housing scheme in Sector 53 after nominated board members opposed the proposal and sought clarity on the authority's future housing policy. The proposal to discontinue the general housing scheme was taken up in a meeting of the board of directors of the CHB.
