Cheap Asian steel could threaten British jobs, turn Britain into dumping ground: Tata Steel UK

Tata Steel has warned cheap Asian steel threatens jobs at its British plants, saying the UK risks becoming a dumping ground for imports. It said tariff-free quotas under bilateral trade deals, including the pact with India, may hurt domestic producers. The warning follows India's tariff-free quota for galvanised steel rising from 98,000 tonnes to 1,25,000 tonnes annually under new arrangements.
