Apple has an online warranty checker to verify any iPhone’s authenticity before unboxing. Simply enter the device's serial number, printed on the box, on Apple's website. If it says "Activate Your Device", it's a legit unused iPhone. After activating, the site will display the correct warranty status within minutes.
