Check WhatsApp Pay's data localisation adherence: SC to RBI

The Supreme Court on Monday directed that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) be included as a party in a petition, to check WhatsApp Pay's adherence to data localisation norms. The NGO-filed petition alleged WhatsApp hasn't complied with RBI's data localisation circular dated April 6, 2018. The petition also alleged that WhatsApp doesn't comply with Indian tax laws.
