A 19-month-old male cheetah cub at Kuno National Park died of pellet wounds in Madhya Pradesh. This is the first such incident in the country since the reintroduction project began in 2022. Five firearm pellets were recovered from its body, following which the state government formed a special task force, including forest officials and police personnel, to investigate the incident.
