Chef Salt Bae banned from US Open Cup final over his behaviour at FIFA WC

The US Open Cup has banned Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe, nicknamed 'Salt Bae', from the soccer competition's 2023 final. The development follows his behaviour at the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar which was criticised. While a video showed him pestering Lionel Messi for a photograph after Argentina's win, he also held the trophy in violation of FIFA rules.
