Chelsea Football Club owner Abramovich gets Portuguese citizenship

Russian billionaire and Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abramovich has become a Portuguese citizen, along with his Russian and Israeli passports, a spokesperson for Abramovich said on Saturday. A Portuguese media report cited justice ministry documents saying he was granted citizenship on April 30. Abramovich's case is based on a law offering naturalisation to descendants of Sephardic Jews.
