Chemicals from Jaipur landfill contaminating crops & water: Study

A study conducted by the Central University of Rajasthan found that chemicals from plastic waste at a Jaipur dumping yard are contaminating agricultural land and water sources. The chemicals are contaminating crops with Bisphenol A (BPA) which is used in plastics and packaging materials. Researchers said BPA concentrations in soil and water reached 770.8 mg/L and 798.9 mg/L respectively.
