An Airports Authority of India (AAI) statement said that limited operations would be carried out in daytime starting on Saturday at Chennai airport to clear stranded passengers. It also said that water had receded in the runways while the taxiways were clear. The necessary repair works had been carried out and night operations would commence in a few days.
