Chennai Metro opens 2 new stations in phase-1 extension stretch

Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) opened the Tiruvottiyur Theradi and Wimco Nagar Depot stations in phase-1 extension between Washermanpet and Wimco Nagar on Sunday. Commuters will also be able to park their vehicles at Wimco Nagar metro station free of charge till March 31, CMRL said. Phase-1 metro line consists of two corridors, Washermanpet-Chennai Airport and Chennai Central-St Thomas Mount.
