Chennai woman cheated of ₹44,000 while trying to order food online

A Chennai woman was cheated of ₹44,000 by scamsters while trying to get refund for a failed food order. The woman's order of ₹240 was cancelled despite making the payment using her State Bank of Mauritius-issued credit card due to a glitch. Seeking help, she then inadvertently reached out to fraudsters posing as bank customer care executives who duped her.
