Batter Cheteshwar Pujara became India's eighth-highest run-scorer in Tests after reaching the 78-run mark in India's first innings of the opening Test against Bangladesh. Pujara's tally of runs in Tests stood at 6,870 after reaching the 78-run mark. He surpassed ex-India captain Dilip Vengsarkar who had scored 6,868 runs in 185 innings.
